Dear Sir,

We would like to introduce ourselves as a 60 Year old Co-educational English Medium Linguistic Minority school, located at Sion ( East). The school is run and managed by People’s Welfare Society, which is a registered Trust under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (ACT XXI of 1860) and under Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950- F/781 (Bom,), having its Registration No. BOM. 38 of 1960 GBBSD dt. 03/05/1960.

The Trust has been granted Income Tax Exemption under section 80-G on Income Tax Act 1961 and  also having 12-A Registration.

The Trust Runs Nursery, Jr and Sr KG classes , while the Primary and Secondary sections of the school are  recognised by MCGM( BMC) and State Government of Maharashtra, respectively.

The School caters primarily to the lower middle income families coming from the areas of Dharavi and Pratiksha Nagar(Sion).

Today the school has over 2000 children and more than 100 staff. The commitment and dedication of the teachers towards imparting education to less priveleged children from the weaker sections of society has enabled the school to produce nearly cent percent result over the last several years in the SSC Board Examination.

In the last 62 years the school has built an outstanding image for itself in the Sion/Dharavi area and has produced students who have developed into distinguished and respectable citizens. The school is run by the Managing Council members who are dedicated and committed ex-students and ex-teachers of the institution , and also some personalities committed to the cause of education.

Our Society which runs the school has no other financial backing from any organisation and is a self supporting body. This acts a great deterrent in the development and expansion of the school.

With increasing demands from the students community and National and International needs like focus on digital communes like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, etc the institution strongly feels a need for a bigger space. The institution feels ,with developments taking place  rapidly, there is a constant need to broaden the vision of students to make them highly responsible citizens in their life, and therefore any assistance in any form from you towards the Corpus Fund /Building Fund of our Society is humbly solicited.

Cheques may be issued in favour of PEOPLE’S WELFARE SOCIETY.

Thanking You
Yours faithfully

For Peoples Welfare Society,
Geetha R Rao
Head Mistress
